Meet Mark Flanagan - Host of The Rhythm & Blues Experience
Mark is a seasoned radio presenter with over three decades of broadcasting experience - and a lifelong passion for music that moves the soul. His journey began in January 1990 at 2BCR (now Connect FM 100.9) in Bankstown, where he first took to the airwaves with a show celebrating music from the 50s to the 80s.
By the mid-90s, Mark found his true musical calling in rhythm and blues, launching The R&B Experience - a show that’s become his signature sound, filled with soul, groove, and gritty authenticity. From classic R&B hits to deep cuts and modern tracks, Mark curates an immersive mix that celebrates the genre's rich history and global influence.
Over the years, Mark has brought his voice and expertise to a variety of stations across Australia, including 2SSR, 2GLF, C91.3, and 2MCR, with stints in both community and commercial radio. He even took his passion overseas, living and working in London before returning to the Australian airwaves.
