Rob Charles

Rob Charles is a well-known British radio broadcaster and voiceover artist. He is widely recognised for his extensive career across offshore pirate radio and mainstream commercial stations.

• Early Life: Born in Nottingham to parents who were bakers, he grew up wanting to join the Navy before discovering a passion for radio. He started his broadcasting journey in 1982 at a local hospital radio station while working a regular job at Timpson's shoes.
• Radio Career: He landed his first paid gig in 1986 hosting the breakfast show for Radio West in Ireland. Shortly after, he moved to Israel to broadcast for the famous pirate station Voice of Peace, followed by a stint living on the Ross Revenge ship in the English Channel for Radio Caroline.
• Commercial Stations: He went on to become the first breakfast presenter for the legalised KFM in 1990. He later spent six years hosting the breakfast show on Magic 999 in Preston, and has worked with Bee Radio and Liverpool Live 247.
