Dave Edwards

Dave Edwards is a veteran radio presenter with a career spanning over 40 years across public, commercial, and internet radio platforms. He is most widely recognized today as the creator, producer, and voice behind the globally syndicated show "That Seventies Sound".

Career & Background

• Early Career (1970s): Dave began his broadcasting journey in hospital radio. He was a driving force behind establishing the Loughborough Hospitals Broadcasting Service (LHBS) in 1975, serving as its Station Manager for several years.
• BBC & Commercial Radio: In 1976, he joined BBC Radio Leicester as a Studio Assistant. During the 1980s, his voice became familiar across the Midlands as a commercial voice-over artist for stations like Radio Trent in Nottingham and Mercia Sound in Coventry.
• The 1990s: He produced and hosted the Sunday Breakfast Show on Radio Fox in his hometown of Leicester.
• International Broadcasting: Dave expanded his career globally, spending several years producing and presenting radio programmes in Indonesia before returning to live in the UK in 2010. 

Current Projects

• Classic Hits UK: Operating from his home broadcast studio, Dave runs his own independent internet station, Classic Hits UK, which showcases music from the 1960s and 70s to listeners in over 95 countries
• Syndicated Shows: Aside from his flagship 1970s programme, his voiceover and production work is syndicated weekly to dozens of community and regional stations worldwide, including XLR Radio, Rother Radio, and Radio 1860
